Managing a real estate portfolio can often feel like juggling a dozen things at once. Between tracking vacancies, remembering which building has the new roof, and keeping your addresses straight, the mental load is heavy. That is why the Properties List in Seamless Tenants is designed to be more than just a directory - it is your "Mission Control."
In this article, we will walk through how to navigate your property list effectively, customize your view, and understand the critical data points that help you make faster management decisions.
Accessing the Properties Hub to get started, look at your left-hand navigation sidebar. You will find the Properties link nested under the General category.
When you click it, the system loads your entire portfolio. Whether you manage two single-family homes or two hundred multi-unit complexes, this is where the magic happens. The interface is clean and uncluttered, ensuring that the information you need isn't buried under layers of menus.
Choose Your Perspective: Grid, List, or TableWe know that every property manager thinks differently. Some are visual learners, while others are data-driven. Seamless Tenants offers three distinct ways to view your properties, located at the top right of the screen:
- Grid View: This is the default "Card" view. It is perfect for those who want a visual snapshot. Each property is represented by a card that highlights the most important details and amenities at a glance.
- List View: If you have a large portfolio, the List View provides a more condensed look, allowing you to scroll through dozens of properties quickly without much vertical travel.
- Table View: For the power users who love spreadsheets, the Table View organizes your properties into rows and columns. This is the best way to compare data points across multiple properties simultaneously.
- Property Type & Usage: Instantly identify if the asset is a Multi-Unit Residential building or a Commercial space.
- Occupancy Snapshot: This is a crowd favorite. Right on the card, you can see the total number of units and, more importantly, the breakdown of Vacant vs. Occupied units. This helps you prioritize your marketing efforts for the day.
- Location Identity: The full address is displayed clearly, making it easy to coordinate maintenance or showings.
- Amenities & Tags: High-level tags like "Swimming Pool" or "Parking" are visible, helping you distinguish between similar-looking assets.
At the top of the Properties List, you’ll find a robust Search Bar. You can type in a property name, a specific street, or even a city to instantly narrow down the list. Adjacent to the search, the Filter icon allows you to sort your view based on specific criteria—perhaps you only want to see properties in a certain state, or only those that are currently "Multi-Unit."
Quick Actions: Edit and MaintainEfficiency is the name of the game. On each property entry, you will see two vital icons:
- The Pencil (Edit): This takes you directly into the property settings where you can update details, manage documents, or view the gallery.
- The Trash Can (Delete): A quick way to remove a property from your active management list (don't worry, the system will ask for a confirmation first!).
